The Jakar valley in Bumthang is full of history, mistic stories, filled with temples dedicated to “Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) who is said to have cured an ailing ruler and introduced Buddhism to the valley”.
On Monday we had the unique opportunity to listen to some stories about Pema Lingpa who was led by mystic forces to discover spiritual treasures (termas) placed by Guru Rinpoche at the bottom of Mebartsho or Flaming Lake.
