Travelling along rice fields & the Himalayan valleys

This week was special for me. Some of friends left to the south following to their travel  plans. Alex has started his trip in India in Siliguri and Sofie went back Gent through Delhi. On one hand today I feel more lonely without them but on the other hand I have the feeling that new winds are comming!

On wedenesday I travel to Paro with Batsaikhan, Bulgan and her girl friend Sonam for work purposes. We went to an oficial meeting in a very pleasant resort localted in Paro´s valley. After the work meeting we four together had the opportunity to visit the fantastic temple situated at the 3100 meters the astonishing “Tiger´s nest”! “A temple complex was first built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three months in the 8th century. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Bhudhism to Bhutan and is the tutelary deity of the country. Today, Paro Taktsang is the best known of the thirteen taktsang or “tiger lair” caves in which he meditated.”
